 Iranian and Bulgarian foreign ministers held a phone conversation, discussing the issues of mutual interest.

In a telephone call, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Svetlan Stoev has once again congratulated his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdollahian on his appointment as the Islamic Republic’s top diplomat.

Stoev stressed Bulgaria’s readiness to expand relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Amir Abdollahian, for his part, referred to the long relations between the two countries and underlined the need to further expand and deepening of cooperation between Tehran and Sofia.

Amir Abdollahian expressed his satisfaction with the increase in trade relations, and expressed hope that the economic ties would be further developed through joint efforts commensurate with the capacities of the two countries.

Amir Abdollahian and Stoev also discussed the formation of a political advisory committee and a joint economic commission, the establishment of direct flights between the two countries, and cooperation in the industrial, scientific, technological and tourism sectors, during the telephone conversation.
