good news iran: “Hit the Road” wins Best Film award at BFI London Film Festival

Iranian feature film “Hit the Road” directed by Panah Panahi won Best Film award at the 65th BFI London Film Festival.

“Hit the Road” was one the 8 movies at the main competition section of the BFI London Film Festival and managed to win Best Film award at the event.

Starring Hassan Madjooni, Pantea Panahiha, Rayan Sarlak, and Amin Simiar, “Hit the Road” revolves around a four-member family that is driving through a picturesque, mountainous Iranian landscape. But it soon becomes clear that this is no ordinary family outing.

In its first international presence, “Hit the Road” was screened at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival and it has been invited to several film festivals around the world including the New Horizons International Film Festival.

The 65th BFI London Film Festival ran October 6-17, 2021.
