good news iran: 9 Iranian films to be screened at Bengaluru Int’l Film Festival

The 13th edition of Bengaluru International Film Festival is hosting 9 Iranian films in different categories.

The 13th edition of the Bengaluru International Film Festival kicked off March 3 and will continue till March 10. Over 200 films are scheduled to be screened at three locations this year: PVR Cinemas-Orion Mall in Rajajinagar, Kalavidara Sangha in Chamrajpet and Suchitra Cine Academy in Banashankari II Stage.  40 international films will be streamed online via OTT platform, Cinesend.

Five Iranian films including “Careless Crime” directed by Shahram Mokri, “Absence” by Ali Mosaffa, “When Pomegranates Howl” by Granaz Moussavi, “Killer Spider” by Ebrahim Irajzad, and “Two Dogs” by Amir Azizi will be screened at Asian Competition section of the event.

Meanwhile, four Iranian films such as “A Hero” directed by Asghar Farhadi, “There Is No Evil” by Mohammad Rasoulof, “Fathers” by Salem Salavati and “180 Degree Rul” by Farnoosh Samadi will be screened at the Cinema of the World section of the event.
