good news iran: ISNA – Historical Rudkhan Castle
Rudkhan Castle, located in the Fuman City of Gilan, is a historical castle built during the reign of the Sassanid Empire.
Being 26 hectares in extent, the castle has been surrounded by forty watchtowers, whose octagonal rooms are covered with domed arches.
According to historical documents, no enemy was able to conquer Rudkhan Castle.
Every year, many Iranian and foreign tourists visit this historical castle.
