good news iran: Iranian film “Mom” to be screened at 52nd IFFI in Goa

 Iranian feature film “Mom” directed by Arash Anisi will be screened at the 52nd International Film Festival of India in Goa.

In its first international presence, “Mom” will be screened at the Debut competition section of the 52nd International Film Festival of India, competing with eight films from India, Spain, Greece, Estonia, Germany, Chile, Switzerland and France.

This year Iranian filmmaker Rakhshān Banietemad, British film producer and director Stephen Woolley, Colombian film director and screenwriter Ciro Guerra, Sri Lankan filmmaker, critic and a visual artist Vimukthi Jayasundara, and Indian producer and director Nila Madhab Panda have been appointed as the members of International jury of the festival.

The 52nd International Film Festival of India will open on 20 November with The King of All the World by Carlos Saura and close on 28 November 2021 in Goa.

“Mom” is the story of a mother, which is narrated by the family’s youngest child, Ahmed.

The cast includes Roya Afshar, Amir Noroozi, Erfan Ebrahimi, Amir Shams and Shaghayegh Shourian.
