Ali Pakdaman finished runner-up in world competitions

Pakdaman lost to sabre fencer Áron Szilágyi of Hungaria in the final 7-15 on Saturday.

This was Iran’s first silver medal in fencing at this high level of the fencing competition.

Before today’s match, the Iranian fencer was the seventh in the world ranking seed.
