Iranian Special Envoy for Afghanistan emphasizes UN’s cooperation on Afghan migrants
Tehran (ISNA) – The special representative of Iran to Afghanistan, Hassan Kazemi Qomi held a meeting with UN Special Representative for Afghanistan, Roza Otunbayeva during which they put emphasis on the Afghan migrants’ issues.
Hassan Kazemi Qomi stressed that it was essential for the UN to cooperate with the Islamic Republic of Iran on the issue as Iran hosts more than 5 million Afghan migrants.
During the meeting, some other issues, including strengthening regional initiatives, educational services, establishing health centers and Iran’s extensive development activities in Afghanistan were discussed as well.
