Chairman of Iran-Armenia parliamentary friendship group Mehdi Farshadan and President of National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan held a meeting in Yerevan.
During the meeting, they emphasized the need for lasting peace and stability in the region.
Simonyan assured that the visit of the Iranian delegation to Yerevan and the continuation of parliamentary cooperation will help the expansion of Armenia-Iran relations in various fields.
For his part, Farshadan presented an invitation message from Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf to Simonyan to visit Iran.
They also reviewed capacities of both parliaments for promotion of cultural, economic and political ties.
