Iran’s ambassador to return to UAE after 8 years

Tehran (ISNA) – The Islamic Republic of Iran will send an ambassador to the United Arab Emirates after 8 years.

Reza Ameri, Director General of Iranians Abroad of the Foreign Ministry has been appointed as Iran’s ambassador to Abu Dhabi, according to sources.

Reza Ameri has previously served as Iran’s ambassador to Algeria, Sudan and Eritrea.

“The UAE sent back its ambassador to Tehran a few months ago. Iran has appointed its new ambassador to UAE, the administrative procedure of his credentials is almost complete and he will travel to Abu Dhabi in the near future,” the deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri announced last month.
