Tehran (ISNA) – Shiraz is among the provinces of Iran, which boast many monuments and museums.
Pars Museum, located in Shiraz, is the first and oldest museum in Iran.
Founded in 1936, the museum contains objects from prehistoric times and the Islamic period, including metal and pottery objects, coins, and other objects dating from the fourth millennium BC.
May 18th marks International Museum Day.
