Iran won’t allow any country to interfere in its internal affairs: Kanaani
Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani stressed that the approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran is still to adhere the path of negotiations around removing sanctions and reviving of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
Speaking at a weekly press conference on Monday, Kanaani condemned the interference of some western countries in Iran’s internal affairs and said, “Iran’s internal affairs are related to Iran’s government and nation and we do not allow any country to interfere in Iran’s internal affairs”.
“The process of negotiations around removing sanctions and reviving the JCPOA has nothing to do with Iran’s internal affairs and this issue has its own path and should proceed along that path,” he emphasized.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Kanaani stressed that Foreign Ministry’s officials were making their utmost efforts to release and return Asadollah Asadi to the country.
“Iran has made all its efforts in the legal, political and consular fields and it is hoped that his release will be made in the shortest time possible,” he added.
Regarding the attack on Iran’s embassy in London on Sunday evening and pulling down the flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the spokesman stated, “This is a worthless action but what is important in this regard is the responsibility of hosting state which according to the international laws must ensure the security of diplomatic places”.
