Iran unveils ‘Sayyad 4B’ missile

During a ceremony attended by Iran’s Minister of Defense Brigadier-General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, Commander of Iran’s Army Air Defense Force Brigadier General Alireza Sabahifard, and a group of the country’s defense industry experts, the missile was unveiled.

The test of the upgraded ‘Bavar-373’ air defense system against long-range static targets was successfully carried out with the long-range ‘Sayyad 4B’ missile.

During the test, the static target was detected at a range of more than 450 km by the optimized radar of the ‘Bavar-373’ system and tracked at a range of about 405 km, and hit and completely destroyed at a range of more than 300 km.

The ‘Sayyad 4B’ long-range missile has solid fuel and was fully operationally evaluated for the first time.

The detection radar range of the ‘Bavar-373’ system has increased from 350 to 450 km, and the engagement radar range of the system has increased from 260 to 400 km.

The missile range of the ‘Bavar-373’ system has also increased from 200 to 300 km, and its engagement height has increased from 27 to 32 km.
