Iran, Qatar discuss issues of mutual interest, int’l developments
Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian held a phone conversation with his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
During the talks, the top Iranian diplomat pointed to the arrival of Iran’s national football team in Qatar, announcing Iran’s support for Qatar in hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup while wishing success for the Qatari government.
The two foreign ministers also discussed some issues of mutual interest, international developments as well as the latest regarding sanctions removal talks.
The Qatari foreign minister expressed pleasure with the arrival of the Iranian national football team in Qatar and wished success for the Iranian team.
He also praised the Islamic republic of Iran’s constant support.
