Iran becomes runner-up at 2022 Freestyle wrestling World Cup

The Iranian team had the competition with American team in final in which Iran was defeated by its American rival 6-4, winning the runner-up title.

In the weight of 79kg, Ali Savadkouhi, Iranian wrestler, who has possessed Asian Golden medals and bronze medals, could defeat his American rival Jordan Burroughs with 6-6 points.

Moreover, Savadkouhi is the first Iranian wrestler who managed to trounce the prominent American wrestler.

The 2022 Freestyle Wrestling World Cup was held in Iowa, the US on December 10-11.
