Commodities traded on IME exceeds 2.3 million tonnes

Tehran (ISNA) – Within the week ending on December 30, 2022, the IME witnessed trade of 2,305,088 tonnes of commodities and 2,506 vehicles with a total trading value of more than 572 million USD on its physical market.

According to a report by the IME’s International Affairs and PR, the exchange saw on its metals and minerals trading floor trade of 1,844,503 tonnes of commodities valued at nearly 314 million USD.

On this floor the IME sold 1,074,304 tonnes of cement, 330,000 tonnes of iron ore, 246,164 tonnes of steel, 224,150 tonnes of zinc, 8,050 tonnes of aluminum, 5,393 tonnes of copper, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 4 kg of gold bars and 2,506 vehicles.

Furthermore, the IME witnessed on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 412,636 tonnes of commodities worth more than 235 million USD.

Commodities traded on this floor included 131,207 tonnes of bitumen, 103,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 95,664 tonnes of polymeric products, 38,666 tonnes of chemicals, 32,600 tonnes of lube cut, 5,530 tonnes of sulfur, 4,789 tonnes of base oil, 1,800 tonnes of petroleum products and 160 tonnes of insulation.

The IME also traded within the same week 47,948 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
