Nicaragua government delegation meets with Iranian FM

Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, in a meeting with a 6-member delegation of women from Nicaragua, comprised of the country’s ministers of interior, family, education, youth, health and higher education, has underlined the significance of the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Latin America including Nicaragua.

The delegation headed by Nicaragua’s Minister of Higher Education and Chancellor of the country’s National Autonomous University Ramona Rodriguez is visiting Tehran to participate in the International Congress on Women of Influence.

During the meeting, she pointed to expansion of university ties, scientific and cultural exchanges, signing a memorandum of understanding for cooperation with the University of Tehran, holding joint training courses and conducting joint research as part of the objectives of her visit.

During the meeting, other Nicaraguan cabinet ministers also outlined their viewpoints on different grounds of interest between the two countries.
