Iran’s “Sampo” to be screened at Nickel Independent Film Festival
Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian short film “Sampo” directed by Marziyeh Riahi will be screened at the 23rd Nickel Independent Film Festival in Canada.
As Iran’s representative, “Sampo” will take part in the competition section of the festival.
“Sampo” is written by Marjan Riahi and produced by Hossein Kakavand.
Linda Kiyani, Maryam Boobani, Hilda Kordbache and Hanan Azizi are among the cast members of the film.
The Nickel Independent Film Festival happens in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada and its main goal is to celebrate and inspire independent film culture.
Along with a week of screenings, the Nickel provides industry related workshops aimed at the professional development of local and visiting filmmakers. It offers a variety of sessions that appeal to emerging filmmakers, the general public, including information sessions, panels, introductory workshops, as well as workshops.
The 23rd Nickel Independent Film Festival will be held June 10-18, 2023.
