Iran FM: We are ready to develop ties with Senegal with no limitations

Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian held a meeting with his Senegalese counterpart Aïssata Tall Sall in Geneva during which they discussed bilateral ties.

Marking the 51st anniversary of official ties between Iran and Senegal, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said, “We are ready to develop ties with friend and brother country Senegal without any limitations”.

He also expressed his hopes about increasing trade transactions between both countries, while assessing it as less than the major capacities of the countries.

In addition to inviting his Senegalese counterpart to Tehran, the Iranian Foreign Minister conveyed the greeting message of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to Senegal President.

Aïssata Tall Sall, in her turn, said that she expressed her satisfaction with the ties of both countries.

“The relations between Iran and Senegal come from the deep will of people’s countries and we have to make efforts in case of how to advance our own ties,” she added.

Also, she appreciated Amir-Abdollahian’s invitation, while saying, “It is necessary to make preparations of an official fruitful visit to Iran”.
