Iran, Uzbekistan stress on further cooperation in trade, transportation fields

Tehran (ISNA) – In a meeting between Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mehdi Safari and Uzbekistan’s Acting Foreign Minister and Transportation Minister Bakhtiar Saidov, the two sides discussed major issues concerning economic ties between Tehran and Tashkent including customs tariffs, transportation duties, preferential trade and transit corridors.

Saidov underlined Uzbekistan’s special view about the need to expand ties with Iran.

He also noted that transportation and trade are the major areas for joint cooperation between Iran and Uzbekistan.
