Niki Karimi’s works to be screened in Italy

Tehran (ISNA) – The works of Niki Karimi, an Iranian actress, director, screenwriter and producer will be screened at the National Museum of Cinema in the city of Turin, Italy, under the title of “Tales of an Iranian Woman”.

The museum will feature a retrospective of Karimi’s works and her artistic career by screening her films “Atabai”, “Final Whistle” and “Night Shift” on Saturday and Sunday.

These works have been selected by the Asia-Pacific Film Festival and have previously been shown at various festivals, including Cambridge in the UK, Vesoul in France, and Mannheim-Heidelberg in Germany, where they have won numerous awards. “Atabai” has previously been screened in Turkey, Canada, Australia, the United States, and the UK.

With the aim of researching the history of cinema, the National Museum of Cinema in Italy has extensive programs in the field of restoration of works, film week and review of the works of prominent international filmmakers, film festivals and educational workshops.

The event will be held May 13-14 in Turin.
