Co-op of Muslim countries with other countries, esp. in Asian region, determines future state of world: Raisi

Tehran (ISNA) – Describing his talks with the Indonesian authorities as constructive, Iranian President considered these talks as showing the serious will of the two countries to develop relations and use the mutual capacities for the benefit of the two nations and the nations of the region, and expressed hope that this visit would be a turning point in the development of relations between Tehran and Jakarta.

Following the plans of the second day of his official visit to Indonesia, Ayatollah Ebrahim Raisi attended the joint meeting of the economic actors of Iran and Indonesia before noon on Wednesday local time, and by describing his talks with the Indonesian authorities as constructive, the President considered these talks as showing the serious will of the two countries to develop relations and use the mutual capacities for the benefit of the two nations and the nations of the region.

Referring to the regional and international status of Indonesia, the country’s membership in important regional and extra-regional arrangements, and the fact that it has an industrious and innovative people as the most populous Muslim country, the President said, “These capacities are suitable grounds for deepening relations between the two countries”.

Ayatollah Raisi further stated that the sanctions and pressures have not been able to stop the Iranian nation on the path of progress, and added, “Iran has turned threats into opportunities with the efforts of its young professionals in various fields, and made great strides in the path of progress in various fields, including manufacturing advanced medical equipment that has also been provided to Indonesia”.

The President stated, “Knowledge-based achievements and other industrial products in Iran today are not only competitive with European standards, but in some cases they also have more advantages. The reason for the official admission of the Americans to the failure of the policy of maximum pressure against Iran is also the same will, persistence and innovations of the youth and the nation of Iran and the achievements resulting from it”.

Ayatollah Raisi continued by pointing out that today the world order is changing in favour of the nations and the current of resistance, and the domination system and rebellious powers are declining, and clarified, “Regional and extra-regional cooperation organizations are emerging powers in the future of the world. We are sure that the cooperation of Muslim countries and other countries, especially in the Asian region, will determine the future state of the world”.

Referring to the agreements made between Iran and Indonesia for the development of trade and economic relations, the President noted, “You are the economic activists who can take serious and effective steps to realize these agreements”.

Referring to some problems raised in this meeting, including financial exchanges, transportation, preferential trade, and commercial profit, president Raisi said, “Our determination is that there will be no obstacles to the expansion of cooperation between Indonesia and Iran”.

The President added, “Iran’s guarantee fund can be a good support for commercial cooperation between the two countries, and in the field of energy, the Islamic Republic of Iran has good preparation and capabilities for cooperation with Indonesia”.

Emphasizing the importance of the commercial offices becoming more active and its effect on increasing the knowledge of the economic actors of the two countries about the mutual capacities and removing the possible obstacles to the expansion of cooperation, Ayatollah Raisi stated, “Iran has a good capacity to export technical and engineering services, which can also be used in cooperation with Indonesia”.

The President expressed hope that this trip will be a turning point in the development of relations between Iran and Indonesia in various fields, especially in the commercial field, and that with the efforts of the economic actors of the two countries, we will witness the promotion of bilateral trade.

On the sidelines of this meeting, president Raisi visited the exhibition of Iran’s science-based medical equipment and products, which was set up to familiarize Indonesian businesspeople with the capabilities of Iran.
