Iraqi delegation to visit Tehran

Tehran (ISNA) – An Iraqi delegation at the head of Iraq’s Minister of Electricity will pay an official visit to Tehran soon.

Ahmad Al-Ebadi, a spokesperson for the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity said, “Baghdad isn’t in debts to Iran and payment for gas is made without delays,” as referring to the decreased exports of Iranian gas to Iraq, according to INA.

He noted that Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani paid attention to the issue of electricity and an Iraqi delegation at the head of Iraq’s Minister of Electricity would pay an official visit to Tehran next week.

The spokesperson stressed, “Iraqi delegation would tell the Iranian side that as summer is coming, the use of electricity will reach its own peak and the country needs Iranian gas too”.
