5 Iranian films to be screened at Shanghai Int’l film festival

Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian feature film “The Annoyed” directed by Mehdi Fard Ghaderi and 4 other Iranian films will participate in the 25th Shanghai International Film Festival.

“The Annoyed”, in its premier, will attend at major section of the Shanghai International Film Festival. This is the third film of Mehdi Fard Ghaderi after “Immortality” and “Weightlessness”. Leila Zare, Reza Behbudi, Ata Servati, Maryam Boubani, Hediyeh Azidhak, Mohammad Amin, Roya Javidnia, Farrokh Nemati and Mohammad-Reza Davoudnejad are among cast members of “The Annoyed”.

Furthermore, “1.5 Horsepower” directed by Rasool Kahani and “Cause of Death: Unknown” by Ali Zarnegar will be screened at the Asian New Talent of Golden Goblet Award of Shanghai International Film Festival. In addition, Iranian animation “Dolphin Boy” directed by Mohammad Kheirandish will participate at the Animation Competition in the same festival.

Also, Iranian feature documentary “The Passion of Mahmoud” by Davoud Abdolmaleki is the Iranian representative at Documentary Competition of 25th Shanghai International Film Festival.

25th Shanghai International Film Festival will be run from 9 – 16 June in China after a one-year pause due to COVID-19 pandemic.
