Iranian, Turkish Presidents hold phone conversation

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran’s President congratulated Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his re-election as the President of the friendly and neighbourly country of Türkiye, expressing hope that in the new era, the economic, political, security, cultural and trade relations between the two countries further develop.

In a phone call with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Tuesday, Ayatollah Ebrahim Raisi congratulated him on his re-election as the President of the friendly and neighbourly country of Türkiye, expressing hope that in the new era, the economic, political, security, cultural and trade relations between the two countries further develop.

The President also referred to the effective role of the regional cooperation between Iran and Türkiye in strengthening security and stability in the region, and called for more acceleration in regional cooperation between the two countries to serve regional countries’ interests.

In this phone call, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan thanked Raisi’s goodwill on behalf of him and his country’s people, saying, “In the coming era, our relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran in various fields will definitely continue more powerfully and seriously”.

He also expressed his country’s readiness to continue regional cooperation, including in the framework of quadrilateral cooperation between Türkiye, Iran, Russia and Syria with more seriousness based on the positive and effective results in strengthening stability in the region and also development of economic and trade cooperation.
