Iran deputy FM welcomes establishment by Burkina Faso of embassy in Tehran
Tehran (ISNA) – Issa Buro, Burkina Faso’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani in Tehran.
During the meeting, the Burkinabe official described Iran as a country with a great historical civilization and culture, emphasizing that his country has the political will to develop political, economic and cultural relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He announced a decision by the government of Burkina Faso to open an embassy in Iran.
For his part, Bagheri Kani referred to the visits of the officials of the two countries, saying Tehran has placed the development of relations with Burkina Faso on its agenda.
He welcomed the establishment by Burkina Faso of an embassy in Tehran, saying a joint commission for comprehensive cooperation is a suitable mechanism to follow up on the two countries’ common programs and issues of mutual interest.
The official from Burkina Faso has traveled to Tehran at the head of a delegation to explore ways of developing cooperation and consult with the Iranian authorities.
