Iran, Brazil stress need for peaceful nuclear cooperation

During the meeting on Tuesday, which took place on the sidelines of the annual IAEA General Conference, Mohammad Eslami, and the Brazilian delegation emphasized the need for cooperation in different areas of peaceful nuclear technology.

Iran and Brazil enjoy a long history of cooperation in various areas and both have extensive peaceful nuclear programs.

As members of the BRICS group of emerging economies, Iran and Brazil share common perspectives on the importance of multilateralism and countering unilateralism.

Eslami is in Vienna to participate in the annual meeting of the IAEA’s General Conference.

Earlier, Eslami and the vice president of China Atomic Energy Agency (CAEA) reviewed the relations between Iran and China in various fields and discussed issues such as the construction of nuclear power plants in the field of nuclear industry.
