Iran successfully launches newest bio-space capsule

The launch of the bio-space capsule is in line with the realization of the plan to send humans into space. It was launched to a height of 130 km from the earth’s surface in order to develop and acquire the technologies needed in this regard.

The 500 kg capsule, was commissioned by the Iran Space Agency and built by the Aerospace Research Institute of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.

Salman launcher is also built by the Aerospace Industries Organization (AIO) of Iran’s defense ministry.

Despite sanctions imposed by Western countries in recent years, Iran has managed to take giant strides in its civilian space program.

Iran sent its first bio-capsule containing living creatures into space in February 2010, using a Kavoshgar (Explorer) carrier.

Iran is among the top 10 countries leading the space industry and among the 7 leading the bio-space.
