Alamiyan into quarter-final of Olympic qualification games

Alamiyan from Iran defeated his Uzbek rival Shokhrukh Iskandarov 4-0, advancing to the quarter-final of the sporting event.

Tashkent is hosting the Paris-2024 Table Tennis Qualification Tournament from May 17-19. Previously in the opening match, he defeated his rival from Kyrgyzstan Iakupbaev Alisher 4-0.

Representatives from the Central Asian region are competing in the men’s and women’s singles competitions. The gold medalists of the tournament will earn spots at the Olympics.

A total of 18 athletes from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Iran, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan are participating in the competition.
