Javelin thrower Afrooz wins gold at 2024 World Para Athletics

Afrooz finished first by throwing 40.18 meters at F34 – men’s Javelin throw at the World Para Athletics Championships.

Previously in the tournament, other Iranian Javelin throwers Alireza Mokhtari and Hashemiyeh Motaghiyan grabbed bronze and silver medals respectively.

It’s the 11th edition of the event and is being held in the Kobe Universiade Memorial Stadium in Kobe, Japan, from May 17 to 25.
