good news iran: Yekta Jamali makes history in Junior World Weightlifting Championships
Tehran (ISNA) – Yekta Jamali managed to claim first Iranian female’s weightlifting medal at the 2021 IWF Junior World Weightlifting Championships in Tashkent, Uzbelistan.
Jamali first lifted 85kg weight and then succeeded in lifting 90kg. She then lifted the 92kg weight and claimed a bronze medal at the international event.
It was the first time that Yekta Jamali participated in the Junior World Weightlifting Championships and her bronze medal is the first Iranian female’s medal at the Junior World Weightlifting Championships.
