Construction of 30 Standard Sanitary Facilities in Dashtiari to Aid Flood Victims

The Dot Charity Foundation has initiated the construction of 30 standard sanitary facilities in Dashtiari County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, to improve public hygiene and reduce risks associated with flooding.

According to the public relations office of the Dot Foundation, this project was launched following the devastating floods in late 2023 and early 2024 to prevent the spread of contagious diseases and improve sanitary conditions in affected areas. So far, 20 standard sanitary units have been completed and handed over to underprivileged families, including individuals with disabilities, female heads of households, and elderly individuals who are unable to work.

These sanitary units, each covering an area of 4 square meters, include a toilet, shower, sink, tiled walls and floors, a water pump, and a storage tank.

The implementation of this project not only helps improve public health but also plays a crucial role in protecting clean water resources and preventing wastewater contamination.

According to this report, the Dot Foundation has announced that the remaining 10 units will be completed and delivered to identified families by the end of January 2025. This initiative is part of the foundation’s broader efforts to support underprivileged areas and enhance sanitary infrastructure in Sistan and Baluchestan Province.
