The opening day of the Asian Karate Championships in Indonesia ended in disappointment for Iran’s Kumite fighters, as world medalist Sara Bahmanyar and Behnam Dehghanzadeh were eliminated. However, Iran secured two bronze medals in the individual Kata divisions through Ali Zand and Fatemeh Sadeghi.
