Tehran (ISNA) – Seven universities from the Islamic Republic of Iran are among the top 100 universities in Asia and there is significant growth in the ranking of Iranian universities.
Based on the report of ISC, Dr. Mohammad Javad Dehghani the president of ISC said, “TIMES Ranking Database is one of the most reputable international ranking systems which has been ranking Asian universities alongside its international rankings since 2013”.
“In the recent ranking of Asian universities in 2021, there were 47 universities from Iran, seven of which are among the top 100 universities in Asia, whereas the number of Iranian universities last year was 40,” he added.
Dehghani mentioned, “Iran’s share in terms of the number of universities in 2013 was 3%, which in 2021 has reached 8.5%”.
Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences, which is present in this ranking for the first time, is ranked 45th, and Sharif University of Technology and Babol Noshirvani University of Technology are the second and third Iranian universities, and are ranked 58th and 59th respectively.
