Iran’s Vafaei improves his global snooker ranking

According to the latest snooker world ranking list published by the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA), Vafaei could improve his annual ranking among world professionals to 17 in 2023-2024.

Iran’s snooker player was defeated by snooker player Ronnie O’Sullivan 6-2 in the semifinals of the UK Championship.

To reach the semifinals, Vafaei defeated Shaun Murphy 6-4, Matthew Selt 6-1, and Zhang Anda 6-4.

The best snooker player in the world is Ronnie O’Sullivan, while Judd Trump and Luca Brecel are in second and third places respectively.

The list was updated after the 2023 UK Championship. The top 64 at season-end are secured a spot on next season’s Tour.
