good news iran: IME Posts sales of 686,000 tonnes of commodities
Tehran (ISNA) – Within the week ending on April, 30th, 2021, the IME traded 686,963 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of more than 400 million USD.
According to a report by the IME’s international affairs and PR the IME sold on its metal and industrial trading floor 320,769 tonnes of commodities worth more than 212 million USD.
Commodities sold on this floor included 261,245 tonnes of steel, 3,460 tonnes of copper, 5,300 tonnes of aluminum, 120 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 24 tonnes of precious metals concentrate, 520 tonnes of zinc and 150 tonnes of lead.
It’s worth noting that the IME’s open auction trading floor saw trade of 50,000 tonnes of fine iron ore.
The next trading floor was the oil and petrochemical on which the exchange sold 362,931 tonnes of commodities valued at more than 187 million USD.
On this floor the exchange traded 91,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 142,940 tonnes of bitumen, 58,636 tonnes of polymeric products, 38,764 tonnes of chemicals, 26,000 tonnes of lube cut, 3,620 tonnes of base oil, 110 tonnes of argon and 1,000 tonnes of sulfur.
There was also 3,263 tonnes of commodities traded on the IME’s side market.
