2 Iranian movies to be screened at Thessaloniki Int’l Festival

Tehran (ISNA) – The Thessaloniki International Film Festival in Greece will host a number of Iranian movies.

Iranian drama “World War III” directed by Houman Seyedi will be screened at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival in Greece.

This film follows an ordinary labourer — played by Mohsen Tanabandeh (A Hero) — who finds himself working on the set of a film that purports to be a condemnation of dictatorships, but the filmmakers themselves turn into tyrants.

It previously won best film and actor for Tanabandeh when it premiered at Venice Horizons in September and is Iran’s submission for the 95th Academy Awards.

Another Iranian drama “No Bears” directed by Jafar Panahi will also be screened at the event.

The Thessaloniki International Film Festival opened on November 3 and will run through November 13 in Greece.
