Iran stresses on UN’s constructive role in resolving Afghanistan’s crisis
Tehran (ISNA) – The special representative of Iranian president for Afghanistan’s affairs, Hassan Kazemi Qomi met with UN Security-General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the Doha meeting on Afghanistan.
During the meeting, Guterres expressed his gratitude for his ten years of experience working with the Islamic Republic of Iran and for Iran’s generous efforts in supporting Afghan refugees residing in Iran.
Hassan Kazemi Qomi, for his part, emphasized the constructive role of the United Nations in resolving Afghanistan’s crisis and preserving its independence in decision-making and planning.
He said that the crisis in Afghanistan can only be resolved through the cooperation and joint efforts of all regional countries with the support of the United Nations.
