Three-day mourning period declared in Lebanon

In Lebanon, several officials have paid tribute to Raisi and Amir-Abdollahian. The Jaafarite Mufti, Ahmad Kabalan, close to Hezbollah and the Amal Movement, praised “an exceptional personality” who “constantly extended his hand to serve Lebanon and contributed to the liberation of its territory.”

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, in a statement addressed to Iran’s Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, expressed, “On behalf of myself, the Lebanese Parliament, and the Lebanese people, we extend our deepest condolences to you and the Iranian people … and I pray for God to bestow upon you good health and guidance in leading the Islamic Republic of Iran and its revolution towards more resilience, strength, and prosperity.”
