Government Denies Suspension of Recent Resolutions / Urges Public to Rely on Official Sources

On Tuesday, July 30, 2024, the Office of the President and the Government Information Center issued an official statement strongly denying reports circulating in some media outlets and on social networks claiming that all government resolutions from the past 25 days had been suspended. The statement called such claims baseless and inaccurate.
According to Good News Agency, the announcement emphasized that all recent government decisions and approvals—including appointments and directives—are being followed through in accordance with legal procedures, and no blanket suspensions or mass cancellations have been implemented.
The statement further noted: “With regard to certain appointments and decisions made in recent weeks that may not align with the previous acting chief of staff’s directives, investigations are currently underway. The results of these reviews will be shared transparently and officially with the public.”
In a separate reaction, the President’s Office addressed rumors surrounding orders by the newly elected president, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, affirming that the only credible sources for news about resolutions, executive orders, or administrative changes in the 14th administration are the Public Relations Office of the President and the Government Information Center.
The announcement called on media outlets, public figures, political groups, and online activists to refrain from spreading unverified content, rumors, or misleading analyses regarding the new administration’s activities. It urged all parties to verify the accuracy of information before sharing it.
The government emphasized that the dissemination of unofficial and unconfirmed news not only undermines media transparency but can also lead to public confusion.
