Special Program for National Cinema Day to Spotlight the History of Iranian Cinema

A special event marking National Cinema Day will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the Zendehyad Seifollah Dad Hall in the Iranian House of Cinema.
According to goodnewsagency, the program—part of broader cultural celebrations for National Cinema Day—will begin at 4:00 PM at the House of Cinema, located at No. 29, Semnan Alley, South Bahar Street, Tehran.
The event will open with the screening of clips honoring the history of Iranian cinema. Following that, Mohammad Mehdi Asgarpour, Chairman of the Board, and Ali Dehkordi, Managing Director of the House of Cinema, will deliver brief speeches to officially open the ceremony.
Later in the program, Pejman Bazeghi, Chairman of the Board of the Actors’ Association, will unveil new regulations regarding the participation of child and adolescent actors in the film industry.
A documentary titled “Iranian Cinema: From the Constitutional Era to Sepanta” directed by Mohammad Tahami-Nejad will then be screened. The event will also include a tribute to veteran documentary filmmakers.
The program will conclude with an analytical panel titled “Revisiting the History of Iranian Cinema” featuring Azizollah Hajimashhadi, Amirshahab Razavian, Ramtin Shahbazi, and Maziar Fekri Ershad, director of the Cinematheque at the House of Cinema.
