Iran, Europe talks kick off in Geneva

Media have reported that the previously announced talks between Tehran and European Troika, the United Kingdom, Germany and France begin in Geneva on Tuesday.
The talks are at the level of deputy foreign ministers.
Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi and Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi head the Iranian delegation at the talks.
َA while later, the Lebanese Al Mayadeen reported that the talks were concluded without issuing a joint statement.
The main focus of the talks was Europe’s threat to activate the trigger mechanism, as well as some issues related to the extension of UN Security Council Resolution 2231.
