Tehran (ISNA) – Anahid Abad’s film YEVA won the Audience Award for Best Film at the 11th Italian Francophone Film Festival.
According to the PR department of Farabi Cinema Foundation, the film “Yeva”, written and directed by Anahid Abad has won the Audience Award for Best Film at the Francophone International Film Festival. The 11th edition of this festival was held from March 17 to 21, 2021 in Rome, Italy.
The film YEVA is a co-production between Iran and Armenia, which has participated in other prestigious festivals such as Montreal, Venice, Palm Springs, Cleveland, Cottbus, etc. and it has won awards from prominent international film festivals such as Pomegranate Film Festival, Yerevan Golden Apricot, Kinoshock Festival of Russia, the New York Film Festival, etc…
YEVA is Abad’s debut feature film and it deals with contemporary social issues of human beings. It is noteworthy mentioning that YEVA is one of the successful projects of Farabi Cinema Foundation in the field of co-production.
